Welcome to Ireton.net. It's been somewhat difficult recently with my web hosting firm going under in late 2004 and the entire website went dark. Did I have a backup? Of course not. Anyway, after much effort I'm back online again and hope that this doesn't happen again. And maybe I'll make a backup this time.

I've fallen head over heels with glass fusing and you'll see that the website is pretty much dominated by that fascination. I've been throwing pottery since the early 70's, picked up stained glass in the mid-80's, discovered warm glass (glass fusing) in 2002 and even started with hot glass (glass blowing) in 2004. I have links not only to sites that show wonderful works of art in these fields but also have links to online stores that teach classes and sell supplies. And I also have self-serving shots of my own work.

Of course my kids are an important part of my life so there will be pictures of them here as well. Alex (Blue & Gold Macaw), Bob (Timneh African Grey), and Pokey (Grey Cockatiel raised from egg) continue to entertain and amaze me every day. If I ever get around to wiring a microphone to the bird room you'll be able to hear Alex say "How about some soup" and "Banana bread!", Bob saying "Hello Pokey", and Pokey generally sounding chirpingly happy and content. They are loud, demanding, and irreplaceable. They are my kids.
